How did you teach your child about sex?

Or, how did your parents teach you about it? Which method do you think is best? Should schools teach sex education, especially if their views are different than yours?

Yes. ESPECIALLY then. Hearing a range of viewpoints allows the individual to better decide which approach is going to work for themselves.

Sex, like so much else in life, is such a personal thing that a one-size-fits-all approach cannot possibly work. If you want your child to learn your values, by all means teach them, but if you think that you will have the final say over when, where, how, and with whom your child decides to become sexually active, you are quite simply fooling yourself.

Trying to shield your child from differing points of view simply shows how little faith you have in your children to be able to make a responsible decision for themselves.
